As the summer transfer window continues, clubs continue to spend a ludicrous amount of money on new talent.

Sky Sports has ranked the top five biggest spenders so far, but with two weeks before the next season starts, the list could look very different when the first games kick off.

Here are the clubs with the largest transfer bills this summer so far:

5. Bournemouth — £37.15 million ($48.8 million)

Bournemouth may have only finished 16th in the last Premier League, but the club is spending the same amount of money as the big hitters this summer.

One of its big transfers has been Jordon Ibe (pictured), who came from Liverpool for £15 million. Bournemouth will hope there big spending gives them a better run this season than the last.

4. Manchester City — £38.2 million ($50 million)

City has deep pockets thanks to its Abu Dhabi and Chinese co-owners, and the club makes good use of its significant financial backing.

Two major signings for the team this season are IIkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund for £21 million and Celta Vigo's Nolito (pictured) for £13 million. Another huge purchase on the horizon could be England defender John Stones from Everton, who is currently valued at £50 million.

3. Manchester United — £56.3 million ($74 million)

New United manager Jose Mourinho made his mark straight away with a slew of high-profile new signings this summer. The biggest was actually free: Zlatan Ibrahimovic's contract at Paris Saint-Germain was up and he was more than happy to come to United.

But Villareal's Eric Bailly cost £30 million, while the fee for Borussia Dortmund's Henrikh Mkhitaryan made up most of the rest of Man U's spend so far. If United nabs Paul Pogba from Juventus its total transfer expenditure will rise by at least £100 million.

2. Chelsea — £65.2 million ($85.7 million)

Chelsea has a new manager in Antonio Conte and he has already made two massive signings for the rich club: Michy Batshuayi from Marseilles for £33 million and Leicester City's N'Golo Kante for a cool £30 million.

The club's biggest signing could be yet to come though if its £38 million bid for Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly comes good.

1. Liverpool — £67.9 million ($89.9 million)

Liverpool is going all out to make an impact this season, with manager Jurgen Klopp (pictured) spending the most money in the summer transfer window so far.

The two major signings that make up the above figure are Sadio Mane from Southampton for a whopping £35 million, and the imminent confirmation of Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle for £23.5 million. To make up some of that expenditure the club is looking to sell Mario Balotelli to Chinese Super League, but expect more big signings before the transfer window closes.
