The 3 Basic Building Blocks of Money

The 3 Basic Building Blocks of Money
The 3 Basic Building Blocks of Money

The lack of knowledge about money is the cause of most people’s financial problems. So many of us have so much false information regarding money, finance, budgets, debt and income that it is no wonder that most people never accumulate much wealth. I know people who won’t buy anything if it isn’t on sale, yet who are still broke because they don’t understand how to produce income. They spend their entire life thinking money is scarce, when in reality, it’s merely a currency printed by man. I also know people who know how to produce income but never learn how to manage it and end up with none of it. While most of us believe that money isn’t the only element of happiness, we know that it’s necessary to maintain a comfortable life.

Your Best Advisor in Life Is Death (VIDEO)

In this video, speaking from Kyoto, Japan, Dr. Dragos says that just as our solar system travels throughout the greater universe during it's lifetime, we too travel on a spaceship called Earth during our lives -- and we only have a short time to fill life with the best things for us before we die.

"The spiritual teachers of the past thought death as their most cherished friend," he says. "Because if you're not sure what to do in your life, simply ask death."

And then you'll know.

Whether it’s getting the green light for a new venture or securing the next round of funding, entrepreneurs are constantly faced with the challenge of communicating their business ideas and plans with stakeholders - board members, advisors and investors.

Are You Looking to Make a Sale or Create a Customer?

We measure most of our success in marketing by our return on investment (ROI). If a tactic generates revenue in relation to what we invest in it, we call it a success. Unfortunately, I think this mindset boxes us in and keeps us from realizing our own potential. If your goal is just to make a sale, then you can easily call any marketing tactic that generates revenue a success. But shouldn’t we be looking for something more?

8 Ways to Save $1 Million Dollars Before You Retire

Saving for your retirement is a given. But, how much money do you need to set aside to enjoy your golden years?

How does a million bucks sound?

That may not sound feasible, but it’s not as challenging as you think if you follow these eight strategies.

1. Start saving as soon as you can.
The younger you start saving, the less amount of money you’ll have to put aside each month. For example, if you start saving $405 per month at the age of of 25, and are receiving an average annual return of 7 percent, you'll make you a millionaire by age 65. If you wait until later in life to start your savings, you’ll have to devote more money each month to catch-up.

The hardest part? Actually reaching your first million. After that, everything else falls in place. But why is it so difficult to reach your first million? I find that most people are pretty close, but hold themselves back with the following mentalities:

Fred Ruckel was an advertising guy. At 25, he started his own agency, and over 12 years he developed commercials for the Super Bowl, Lays and Pepsi. But he never considered himself a Mad man. “I’ve always been an inventor,” he says. A tinkerer. An explorer. He was a guy with ideas but no time to pursue them. So in 2011, his wife, Natasha, gave him the gift of a lifetime: Quit your job, she said. She’d cover the bills while he built a new career. Turkey crisis: how will oil and gas supplies be affected?

The Turkish military’s attempted coup to topple president Recep Tayyip Erdogan didn’t last long. The government restored control the following day and soon declared a three-month state of emergency, with more than 60,000 people since arrested or placed under investigation.

This isn’t just Turkey’s problem. The country’s pivotal position in the transport of oil and gas gives it huge geopolitical significance. Straddling Europe and the Middle East and providing export routes from Central Asia to the rest of the world, Turkey is an important and growing energy transit hub.

Hi, I'm Annie Jones. This is my story...
Like most single parents around the world, my mornings are pretty busy with the mad dash to get the kids out of bed, washed, dressed and fed in time to leave for school.

I love this time though because I know that once the stress of getting them to the school gate is over, I get to go home and start 'work'. That might sound a little strange because not a lot of people love their work, and I used to be the same, but my life has changed so drastically in the last 12 months that I now LOVE getting back home to start work.
